Delivery of New Medical Equipment to Axion Hellas by the Student Community of Moraitis School.

Student Community of Moraitis School Donates New Medical Equipment to Axion Hellas

During Axion Hellas’ 21st Mission, the medical team was enhanced with a new state-of-the-art ultrasound system, capable of performing both vascular and general ultrasound examinations. This valuable addition has significantly expanded the team’s ability to provide early diagnostic assessments for both children and adults.

This important acquisition was made possible through a remarkable initiative led by the student community of the Moraitis School Junior High School. With the support of the President of the Student Council and Axion Hellas volunteer, Anastasis Arniakos, together with the entire Student Council,

the students successfully raised €10,000 during the Christmas period and chose to dedicate the funds to the purchase of a medical device capable of making a meaningful difference to people of all ages.

The initiative was undertaken with the support of Mr Giannis Maniatis, the faculty advisor to the Junior High School Student Council, and the School Principal, Ms Ruthner. Their collective efforts serve as a wonderful example of how young people, when inspired by a sense of purpose and social responsibility, can create a lasting and tangible impact.

The official handover of the ultrasound system recently took place at the Moraitis School campus in the presence of representatives of Axion Hellas.

Already, during the course of the 21st Mission, 769 cardiology examinations were carried out using the new equipment, clearly demonstrating the importance of this contribution to the work of the medical team and to the residents of the remote communities visited by the mission.
