Axion Hellas successfully completed its 19th mission between 30 September and 5 October 2025, visiting the Diapontia Islands—Othonoi, Mathraki, and Erikoussa—as well as Paxoi.

The maritime logistics team covered 600 nautical miles using four vessels, ensuring the safe transportation of volunteers and the accessibility of medical services to all participating islands.
During the mission, one resident noted that undergoing similar medical examinations on Corfu would have cost at least €600, expressing deep gratitude for the services made available locally through Axion Hellas.
In parallel, and in cooperation with institutions such as the Hellenic Police, the International Olympic Truce Centre, the Hellenic Olympic Academy, and the Marianna V. Vardinoyannis Foundation, students of all educational levels participated in interactive sessions on internet safety, the value of diversity, marine environmental protection, and theatre creation. Workshops on first aid and artificial intelligence were also offered to both children and adults.
Moreover, the award-winning theatrical group TOPI accompanied the mission to Paxoi and presented an interactive performance inspired by the Grimm Brothers’ fairy tales, engaging young audiences with humour and imagination.
In total, six educational and cultural programmes were implemented, involving 355 children and 67 adults.
The 19th Mission also left a lasting artistic mark in Paxoi, where internationally acclaimed street artist CacaoRocks created a mural inspired by the sea and the cultural heritage of the Ionian Islands, painted with materials kindly donated by Kraft.
As with all previous missions, this initiative reaffirms that targeted social contribution can significantly improve the daily lives of remote communities. With unwavering dedication and a strong commitment to its founding vision of service and solidarity, Axion Hellas renews its pledge to continue its humanitarian work, reaching those who need it most and ensuring that its presence continues to make a meaningful difference.
